The 7 Mile Marina and Captain Hook’s Marina & Dive Center proudly announce the 2nd Annual Florida Keys Grouper Tournament this weekend.
This hook and line and spearfishing competition kicks of Saturday, April 30 with a Captain’s Meeting at 7 pm at 7 Mile Marina/Salty’s, located at mile marker 47.5 bayside with plenty of live music.
Sunday, May 1 is the only day of fishing with weigh-in by 5:30 at 7 Mile Marina. The tournament includes categories of blacks, gags and reds in which the biggest fish of each species wins. Only first place will be recognized with cash prizes.
The Sunday evening awards ceremony will be held at 7:30 pm at 7 Mile Marina/Salty’s with more live music.
Registration is available at either Captain Hook’s or 7 Mile Marina. Entry fee is $100 per boat with a limit of 6 anglers per boat. Diver entry fee is $50, and junior divers (18 and under) can participate for $35.
