Main stage production opens at MCT

The Marathon Community Theatre’s fourth Main Stage production is set to open this weekend and this cast is ready to leave you in stitches. What could possibly go wrong during a golf tournament at a staid old country club? One word: Everything! The Director of Quail Valley Golf & Country Club has one headache after another. His newly hired assistant is in love with the waitress at his club and his best golf player just resigned to play for his rival’s team. His job may be over and now he may have to face the ultimate danger — his wife!

The Fox on the Fairway takes you on a tour of the seventh green, but it is anything but boring! These actors and actresses have been rehearsing since March and have managed to break three vases, two boxes, a coffee table, a bar top and a ping pong ball all in the name of “getting into character.” Oh, and theater-goers won’t want to miss the “surprise” the cast gives the audience right at the end of the play!

Fox on the Fairway opens this weekend with performances on Friday and Saturday, May 8-9 at 8 p.m. The show runs through May 23 playing on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday nights with a special matinee on Sunday, May 17 at 3 p.m.

The talented cast includes Kevin Eick as Henry Bingham, Sally Punch as Pamela Peabody, John Pabon as Justin Hicks, Melissa Williams-Costner as Louise Heindbedder, Neil Angiulo as Dickie Bell and Barb Gilreath as Muriel Bingham. The Fox on the Fairway is written by Ken Ludwig and is directed by Devin Clarke and Jenn Mixon-Eick.
