Lisa Kendrick began a new competitive cheerleading team in Marathon this year. The team’s name? “Keys Madness”! The team consists of nine girls who attend different Keys schools: Stacie Colon, Zamaira Ricart, Kacie Butler, Delaney Collins, Liz Cohen (not pictured), Hannah Child, Alex Pabon, Elizabeth Kyle and Noelys Almodovar. The team performed at the Seafood Festival and then at a competition in Ft. Lauderdale on March 17, winning first place in its division, after five long months of practice.

The girls celebrated the end of the season with a banquet prepared by the Women of the Moose in Marathon. It sponsored the event by providing the ballroom, set up and clean up and a full dinner with dessert. About 50 guests attended.
