St. Peters Church Vacation Bible School
Send your kids to High Seas Expedition VBS at St. Peter Church. Our one weeklong Bible School is open to the entire community. Children ages four years to sixth grade will take part in fun scripture-themed activities that will help kids connect their faith to real life. Older teens can help shepherd the little ones and earn community service hours.
Each morning at 9 am, kids will check in with our puppets, Sailor Inez and Jack, and the SS St Peter and hear about the latest drama on board the ship. Kids then visit their classrooms and different stations until 12 noon when they gather for the closing prayer.
VBS will be June 21-25. Participants and teen helpers and adult volunteers should all visit the registration website to sign up.

Pimp and Ho Party at Holiday Isle
Mark your calendars! It’s time for the 16th annual Pimp and Ho Party on Friday, June 25, at the Holiday Isle Resort & Marina Tiki Bar in Islamorada from 8 pm – 4 am.
In addition to the same crazy audience-judged costume contests with a $1,000 cash purse for the “Best Ho” and a $100 bar tab for the “Best Pimp”, there are some new surprises this year. We’ll have high-tech live video feed streaming on large screens all over the Tiki Bar, so you’ll be able to see your friends and the costumes from any location. Fire dancer, Solange Inferno, will blow your mind with her acrobatic routine using flaming hula hoops, batons and swinging balls. She’ll be performing three times during the night.
Watch out for the stilt-walker who will be making the rounds. On the main stage, Stereo Underground, will be back again this year, playing their unique mix of alternative, rock and indie music, highlighted by a new LED light show and shadow dancing behind the stage. DJ Dave will be spinning crowd favorites in the VIP room on the quarter deck—pick up your VIP wrist bands at Eye Catchers Signs at mile marker 88.5.
This year the Lovers’ Boutique and Adult Video Outlet in Key Largo has stocked up on costumes for the event, so you can shop locally for your outfits.
