The signature fundraiser of the Upper Keys Rotary Club is the Gigantic Nautical Flea Market held at Founders Park in Islamorada in late February. This event has raised more than $250 million in direct scholarship aid that has benefitted local graduating students and current college students for decades. Rotarians from the other Keys clubs provide significant volunteer help to make this event a “gigantic” success.

“The Rotary Club Scholarship awards result from the effort of hundreds of people in the community who work the annual Gigantic Nautical Flea Market,” said Rotarian Frank Derfler. “Held annually in February, the planning cycle ends when we award the scholarships then we get planning again for the following year.”
