The nation’s top morning television news show, ABC’s Good Morning America, is set to broadcast live segments from the Florida Keys Friday, March 7, and the public is invited to watch and possibly appear on the air.

Beginning at 7 a.m. ET, meteorologist Ginger Zee is to broadcast segments from Key West’s Mallory Square featuring popular Florida Keys characters and activities. A facet of the national broadcast also is to showcase a recorded segment covering offerings in the Middle and Upper Keys.

The Lower Keys’ Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 Band are among guests scheduled to appear.

The broadcast is being made possible as part of an integrated marketing program funded by the Monroe County Tourist Development Council that was developed between ABC and Tinsley Advertising, TDC’s ad agency. The council’s public relations agency, NewmanPR, has aided GMA producers with editorial development and broadcast logistics.
