Auxiliary Officers earn Pollution Investigation certificates
The three U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary officers recently earned their certification as Marine Pollution Investigators.  In the event of a fuel spill or any other potential pollution problem in the waters off the Florida Keys, then Luke Moore, Brad Miller, John Hedberg will be the Coast Guard’s first responders. “They have been very active in this capacity since this program was initiated for the Auxiliary last year,” said Susan Miller, Public Affairs Officer for Flotilla 1303.  “Having the Coast Guard Auxiliary members’ immediate attention to issues means better containment of contaminants and a more positive result for marine life.”
