Croissants De France opens second location

You know when something you love gets even bigger and better? Croissants De France, the masters of fine French baking in Key West is expanding and foodies get excited. More pastries, breads, sandwiches and cakes will be available from a newly renovated, larger location on Stock Island. For 30 years, the restaurant has been a mainstay on Duval Street providing café services, fine cakes and catering. Due to demand, the baking and general production will now take place on Stock Island alongside a second café for northern islanders (anyone outside of Old Town).

“We are looking to double our wholesale production and provide goods up and down the Keys,” said owner and partner, Genevieve Sabatier. Along with her brother Guy Sabatier, Mathieu Byrotheau and Philippe Bullier, all the owners saw an opportunity to expand production while providing for residents of Stock Island.

“Our sandwiches will be under $10, we want it to be local friendly,” said Sabatier. “We don’t want to compete with our neighbors, so we will have our food that people know and love.”

For those who live and or work on Stock Island, the café will be a welcome addition for its delicious food at affordable prices.

The new café itself is a rustic, clean and un-surprisingly French atmosphere built from refurbished wood palletes reminiscent of a country farmhouse. It will have the same favorites as downtown; coffee, pastries, breads, sandwiches with convenient to go purchasing or stay and sit in the quiet garden outdoor area to sip coffee and enjoy breakfast or lunch. Large windows will also allow customers to peak into the state-of-the-art kitchen and watch the bakers craft wedding cakes and pastries.

Look forward to Croissants De France continuing to create savory upscale food at affordable prices with a new convenient location on 3rd Avenue behind the Dolphin Deli, for more information go to www.croissantsdefrance.com.
