On Saturday, April 21, 2012, the participants in Class XX of Leadership Monroe County will be recognized in graduation ceremonies at Hawks Cay, acknowledging their accomplishments in successfully completing the program. The 20th year of the program brought together 20 Monroe County leaders with intensive class sessions and seminars over a seven month period that included immersion in critical Florida Keys issues in Tourism and the Economy, the Environment, Education, Government, Law and the Military, Health and Human Services, Emergency Management, the Arts, Culture, and the Media.

Leadership Monroe County alumni, now numbering 436, serve in key leadership positions in government, business, education, law enforcement, nonprofits, the arts and other community sectors.
