The Zonta Club of Marathon “Inaugural Festival of Trees” took place at the Marathon Airport this past Thanksgiving weekend.  The positive feedback from the Community has been overwhelming and we are looking forward to doing it again next year.

This fundraiser was successful because of the support of the Sponsors that donated and decorated the trees, the talented singers that came out on Sunday to serenade us with Holiday music, delicious food and advertising donated by local businesses, crafts for the children organized by the City of Marathon Parks and Recreation, Zonta’s wonderful homemade baked goods and all the volunteer hours in organizing and working the event.

But none of this could have happened without the participation from the Marathon Community, without your support we could not accomplish our mission of improving the status of women and children in our Community.

The proceeds from this fundraiser, with matching funds from the Eckerd Family Foundation, will stay in our Community and will go to our none traditional scholarships for young adults that wish to go into entrepreneurship or various trades.

Thank you for your continued love and support.
