Veterans Day Parade a Huge Success

The Marathon community recently came together to honor our veterans and troops. There were over 60 vehicles decorated in red, white and blue with American flags waving in the breeze. The sheriff’s department did a fantastic job escorting us up US 1. Habitat for Humanity Community Service Department distributed posters and handed out parade information flyers and helped set up and clean up at the DAV ham dinner.

Thanks to the DAV for contributing to the dinner. JoAnn Wilmot organized and cooked for the dinner and Tom Hickey helped serve the ham.

The American Legion and Auxiliary donated food and paper products. The American Legion Color Guard fired a 21 gun salute and played Taps to honor our fallen heroes. DAV Auxiliary members Pam Marco and Faith and Ralph Scott were a big help. Michael J donated the music.

Many thanks to everyone in this great community we live in.

Dear Editor,

Once again, family, friends and businesses in our community stepped up to the plate to help support Crane Point’s recent fundraiser, Moonlight Cocktails- A Full Moon Party. We are extremely grateful to our sponsors and to the community members who attended the successful event.

Tanya of Cristiano’s Catering donated all of the hors d’oeuvres and supplied the wonderful servers who are part of the Marathon High School culinary program. Several members of the staff from Centennial Bank grilled and served the shish kabobs that were donated by the bank. Entertainment was donated by The Jim-Bob Jazz Combo, and Josh Glisam, the ever popular fire dancer, and marketing services were donated by Terri Nuechterlein of D’Asign Source.

The Crane Point board of directors, management and staff, thank our wonderful sponsors, volunteers and our community for their tremendous support of our organization. Please accept our heart-felt gratitude for being there for us-you all help in making a difference at our beloved Crane Point.

Sincerely,
Audrey Moir
Executive Director
