BottleCap Lounge and Bar is a local spot more than anything else. It is far enough from Duval Street to be not found easily by tourists but close enough to be where the party is happening.
“We have been in business almost 80 years and we are very involved with the community so everybody knows about us,” said manager and DJ Dino Vitale.
Behind the bar has near every bottle of alcohol you can think of but what catches most costumers eyes is the assortment of Grey Goose bottles with different flavors. Le Melon, Cherry Noir, La Poire, L’Orange and Le Citron are a few tastes of the high-quality spirit. Everyday there are $5 Grey Goose cocktails and shots from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. And if you are hungry Bad Boy Burrito is next store with excellent food.
What really makes BottleCap so popular in town is the live music. Tuesday is went the lounge jumps off and DJ Dino spins some heavy house. Fire Friday is Latin, hip-hop, House and Top 40 and Friday, Nov. 28 is the blackout party. Saturday is Latin night and patrons can hear some salsa and merengue. Stevie B is playing Dec. 5 and tickets are almost sold out for that show too, they can be purchased at the bar.
Every Friday booked until next year the venue hosts non-profit fundraisers donating profits to near everyplace in town including the SPCA, VNA Hospice, Samuel’s House. Stop by at 1128 Simonton St.
