Lower Keys Medical Center recently honored 58 employees for service to the hospital. Employees who have served 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years were recognized.

Sharon Harper, R.N., Nursing Supervisor, who has worked at the hospital for 35 years said, “I love hospital nursing. I work here to serve my community.”

Tami Harmon, Administrative Assistant and Scheduler in Surgical Services, was recognized with the Frank Houtman Memorial Award, named for a beloved volunteer at Lower Keys Medical Center who was known for consistently going above and beyond for patients and colleagues.

CEO David Clay noted that the 58 employees, who were being recognized for dedicating their careers to the hospital, represented more than 650 years of combined experience. “You have left your marks on this institution, our patients and each other. You know the faces, the families, the joys and the sorrows of our patients and can greet them with warmth and compassion. You make our community hospital a community unto itself,” Clay said.
