Wednesdays are a little saucier with the addition of ladies night at Marathon Grill & Ale House, the popular hangout for Middle Keys residents and visitors, located in Gulfside Village.

Bartender Tayla Torna says the Key West Lemonade is one of the most popular Wednesday night drinks. “It tastes just like pink lemonade,” she said. “Ladies love it because it is refreshing and not too sweet, but guys love it, too, because it’s just that good.”

The drink doesn’t include lemonade, but a sweet mix of three delicious ingredients: Absolut Citron, cranberry juice and sour mix, shaken together and served on the rocks. And, it’s a delicious $4 special on Wednesday nights.

The Marathon Grill & Ale House offers a traditional happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. where they have great drink specials and also buy-one-get-one free dinners during that time. Their late night happy hour from 10 p.m. to midnight is popular with the local service industry workers in town.

Torna said she loves the good vibes at the Ale House. “I have never worked with people who are more compassionate and understanding,” she said of her owners. “They are very family oriented and fun to work for.”

The Marathon Grill & Ale House opened in December 2013, and Torna has been there since day one serving up cocktails and good times.
