#See: ‘A Tuna Christmas’ wraps up this weekend - A man standing next to a woman - Girl

This is the last weekend to see Marathon Community Theatre’s ‘A Tuna Christmas,’ a hilarious comedy about Christmastime happenings in the third smallest town in Texas: Tuna.

Comedic actors John Schaefer and Michael Chaplin play 22 characters.

“It’s a lot of costume changes, a lot of voice changes, and a lot of talent with these two guys … and bravery. It was courageous for them to take this on,” said Director Marilyn Tempest.

Adding to the fun is the Christmas Phantom who is on the loose and has been terrorizing Tuna for years. Tuna citizens come alive with angst, sweetness, and humor. This Christmas story goes beyond hilarity and unexpected gifts are given during the telling; some little miracles occur. And isn’t that the true spirit of Christmas?

The last performances for MCT’s production “A Tuna Christmas” are set for Friday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and beer, wine and fresh popcorn will be available during each show. To purchase tickets visit www.marathontheater.org or call 305-743-0994.
