The 15th Annual Space Coast Birding & Wildlife Festival is scheduled for January 25 – 30, 2012 at Brevard Community College – Titusville Campus. This premier event offers opportunities for participants to explore world- renowned natural areas of Florida’s Space Coast, home of the largest collection of endangered wildlife and plants in the continental United States. Festival activities feature unique birding, wildlife, nature, technology, cultural/historical and photography field trips, paddling adventures, Pelagic birding boat trip, classroom and evening keynote presentations as well as an Art Competition and Show and Nature-based Exhibits. Nationally recognized naturalists, scientists, biologists, photographers and ornithologists lead the Festival events and are available to participants for one-on-one discussions and instructions. The Festival is the largest such event in the United States.

An out-of-the-box photography workshop lead by well-known photographer Reinier Munguia and Master Bird Rehabilitator Jonathan Wood along with the famous Raptor Project birds is just one of many new items for this year. Outstanding topical keynotes will be presented by Richard Crossley, Paul Baicich, James Currie and Victor Emanuel.. The East Coast Pelagic Birding Boat Trip offers an exciting opportunity for experienced as well as new birders to find life birds and observe sea life that is abundant off Florida’s Space Coast.

We are honored to be able to bring information about the Annual Festival to the Florida Keys via the KEYS WEEKLY. We appreciate the number of Keys residents who attend and support the Festival each year.
