Take Stock in Children: Pairing Successful Adults with Students

Take Stock in Children: Pairing Successful Adults with Students

Take Stock in Children is looking for dozens of mentors who can help ensure students in our schools make it to college. Take Stock in Children provides personal contacts for youth doing well in school but don’t have the financial backing to make college attainable. Mentors can be any responsible adult and will be asked to spend ½ hour per week with their mentee on school grounds. The program isn’t for tutoring, just for adults to be a positive, reassuring influence.

This coming week, representatives from Take Stock in Children will be talking to the Rotary Clubs throughout the Florida Keys.

Thursday, November 19 Key West Noon Rotary
Friday, November 20 Key West Sunrise Rotary
Friday, November 29 Big Pine Noon Rotary
Monday, November 23 Key West Sunset Rotary

The program isn’t limited to Rotarians. Any adult who has just 30 minutes a week to spend talking to a Key West High student about the possibilities after college can help out. For more information call Jim Hall at 293•1546 .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
