The Happy Dog sound wave to jump off The Porch

The Happy Dog sound wave to jump off The Porch - A group of people posing for the camera - Public Relations

The Happy Dog is a sound zoo and their live shows can take on an improvisational spirit that may swing between any of their influences ranging from the Talking Heads to Bob Marley to the Beatles to the Dead. The sound is amplified by more modern influences such as Radiohead, Animal Collective, TV on the Radio and Miley Cyrus….yes.

The Philadelphia-based band plays in places of beauty (be it physical or social) throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, New Jersey and now regularly at Key West. All management, recording, production, and touring is done through a network of friends or in house with no artificial ingredients or preservatives.

Raised on the Beatles, Radiohead, The Talking Heads, Pink Floyd, The Grateful Dead, the group was weaned on Neil Young, Ween, The Flaming Lips, My Morning Jacket, MGMT, The Rolling Stones, and influenced by Elvis, Louis Armstrong, Prince, David Bowie, Bob Marley, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and many more.

Join them at The Porch this Friday for some craft beer, fun and merriment. The Porch is located at 429 Caroline St. right next door to the Otherside. For more info check out their Facebook page or just go there Friday night. All the cool people are going, so speak easy…and drink boldly.
