The rain cleared just in time for Upper Keys Humane Society staff and board members to pose for a photo at the groundbreaking for their facility’s new building. UKHS medical director Michael Claudio said, “I’m thrilled beyond measure and humbled by the response of the community.” The project, which has been taken on by CBT Construction, is set to be completed in three months. UKHS president Angela Boehm was also excited to share other news: The UKHS has a “generous donor” who will match all donations until May 1, 2022, up to $50,000 for the new construction in honor of their late grandmother’s birthday. For more information and/or to make a donation, call 305-451-3848.
