“Are you guys ready? We’re going to rock Key West island style!”
Captain Benjamin Blanton was flyin’ high on adrenaline and crowd energy before we even left the runway during a low transition take-off for an intense flight demonstration at the Naval Air Station Key West. We were in the cockpit and he announced his intentions to take us on an unforgettable ride at speeds over 370 miles an hour in a C-130, the military’s refueling jet, which primary mission is providing maintenance support.
“We actually showed the crowd the maximum tactical flight capabilities,” relayed Captain Edward Jorge. “We definitely wowed the crowd with a really good show today!”
BUT WE DON’T WANT TO WRITE ABOUT IT! We want you to experience the ascension, rolling, “showing the audience our belly”, and the lure of leaving land with the Blue Angels.

There we’ve placed the take-off video, plus a one-on-one with Captain Edward Jorge.
