After a score in the first quarter, the Canes shut down the Warriors’ run-heavy offense. The Canes also forced some turnovers with junior defensive back Daniel Pease hauling in an interception around the nine-minute mark in the second quarter, while sophomore linebacker Osvaldo Vega recovered a fumble in the third quarter. Punter Joshua Prince played a factor in switching the field with two punts landing inside the Warriors’ 5-yard line. The Canes are back home Friday, Sept. 20 against St. Brendan at 7 p.m.
