A merry band of bearded and tie-dyed brewers from the Florida Keys Brewing Co. just returned from a cross-country adventure, sharing their brews at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado.

“I don’t think anyone had as much fun as us,” said Brewing Co. proprietor Cheryl McBay.

Two members of the brewery drove the tied-dyed beer van more than 1,700 miles to the festival.

Although the brewery didn’t bring home any medals, “We were ecstatic just to be invited,” said McBay.

The three-day festival hosted more than 800 craft breweries from across the country, with an attendance of some 62,000 people.

“We were the brightest and happiest booth and had a line the entire time,” McBay added. “We learned a lot and look forward to next year when we can bring some awards back home.”
