READ | The Last Flight
The Keys Weekly’s very own book columnist Karen Newfield calls “The Last Flight,” by Julie Clarke a five-star thriller standout. The protagonist, Claire, is married to a powerful man, a politician through and through. Although it began as a whirlwind romance a decade ago, their marriage is now a sham. Rory’s words slowly turned cruel and over the years became physical. And then one day, Claire finds herself at the airport switching places and tickets with a complete stranger, a woman named Eva. Freedom lies just up ahead; the question is … for whom.

BUY | Portable A/C
It looks like it’s about the size of an overstuffed lunch box. The newest portable air conditioning unit can also double as an air filter and humidifier. The device is rechargeable, but can run on battery for a few hours. The compact device fits in small spaces — on top of a desk or inside a tent (i.e., it won’t cool a whole bedroom). The Bluax model costs about $90 and comes with a cool LED feature.
