Join the History of Diving Museum as we dive into ocean tales new and old.

The final days are approaching to see student work from Dive Into Art: FantaSea in the lower Keys. View this charming display of original art all about nautical stories and mythology at the Key West Library before Labor Day.

This traveling show is composed of student artwork from eight Florida Keys schools, originally displayed as part of our annual art show with the Art Guild of the Purple Isles (AGPI). The FantaSea exhibit celebrated fantasy elements tied to the ocean: mermaids, pirates, sunken cities and more. It will be taken down on Labor Day and will go on display at the Islamorada Library.

This traveling exhibit was sponsored in part by Culture Builds Florida, the Community Foundation of the Florida Keys, and Monroe County Tourism Development Council.

The History of Diving Museum also thanks the Monroe County Libraries who have partnered with the Museum to give students the opportunity to see their work on display throughout the Florida Keys. The 2023 Dive into Art show is entitled Edge of the Sea, a celebration of the unique habitats found where land meets water. Come see this exhibit when it opens in January 2023.

The History of Diving Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Islamorada (MM83).
