WATCH | STRANGER THINGS
The gate is NOT closed to the UpsideDown. And it will take all of the characters, steeped in a scary and gory and inventive plot, to defeat the bad “demogorgon” loose in the town of Hawkins, Indiana. Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max and the super powerful Eleven, or “L,” are back. So’s Steve — the best single mom of four middle schoolers ever — but the teasers indicate he will be eclipsed by bad boy Billy in this season. (Seriously, it’s hard to pick a favorite character.) The show has tons of cool ’80s throwbacks, from music to references to “E.T.” and “Firestarter,” plus cultural staples of that era like malls and ridiculous hair. The new episodes drop on July 4 on Netflix.
LISTEN| No. 6 Collaborations Project
Teaming up with artists like Khalid, Camilia Cabello, Justin Bieber and Chance the Rapper, Ed Sheeran’s latest album is due out July 12. No. 6 Collaborations Project is the first track on an album built around guest features that show how much clout he has drawn up in the music world today. If you want a taste of the album, three songs are already out: “Beautiful People’” featuring Khalid, “Cross Me” featuring Chance the Rapper and “I Don’t Care” featuring Bieber.
