“Although she is only in her second year, Christina has a natural talent for swimming, a strong competitive drive and a genuine desire to lead and encourage those around her.” – Conchs coach Lori Bosco

Christina Rice wasted no time making her mark for the Conchs this season. Last week, the sophomore was a dominant force in the pool, earning a pair of first-place finishes in each of Key West’s two meets.

“Christina Rice is a returning swimmer who has made an immediate impact for the Conchs,” said coach Lori Bosco. “She earned first-place finishes in the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle in both meets and has been a key contributor to our relay teams.”

With four individual wins in just two meets and contributions to Key West’s relay efforts, Rice has established herself as an early-season standout and is the Keys Weekly Athlete of the Week.
