Our media organization was founded in September 2003, with ownership of the company passing to Weekly Publisher, Jason Koler, and his wife, Kate, in August of 2006. Adhering to the founding principles of “covering and supporting the Florida Keys communities we serve,” the company is widely regarded as the most popular and relevant media company in the Keys—remaining accessible to visitors, residents, businesses and civic organizations.

In November of 2013, Britt Myers joined the Weekly team as co-owner of the company . Jason and Britt subsequently opened their Key West and Tavernier offices that today, truly capture the essence of two of the most vibrant communities on the globe.

Today, the Weekly’s three editors and journalists capture political news and enterprise stories – information the entire community finds viable to better navigate their way through the Keys. The Weekly’s content has a direct impact on their readers and is celebrated as an “unbiased, refreshing and engaging; providing a unique publication for each region of the Florida Keys, while maintaining a trusted and recognized brand.”
