A celebration of life is set for the Florida Keys Mosquito Control commissioner who recently passed away on Nov. 9.
Tom McDonald was visiting family out of state when he was involved in a tragic bike accident on Nov. 3. The CPA was 77 years old. He represented Key Largo on the mosquito control board from 1995 to 1998. McDonald was reelected to the seat in 2015 and had served on the board ever since for District 5. He recently served as treasurer and secretary.
To honor the life of McDonald, the community is invited to the Dec. 2 celebration of life at 1:30 p.m. at the Murray Nelson Government Center in Key Largo. Contributions in McDonald’s honor can be made via Zelle to tommcdonaldfamily@gmail.com.
