From relaxing half-day to week-long charters, Paradise Found’s sailing catamaran Kit will get guests out onto those blue Keys waters in comfort.
“Most folks coming aboard have never been on a sailing catamaran before,” said Capt. Steve Krug. “Most come a bit nervous not knowing what to expect. Success is achieved if we put these new sailors at ease and come as close to fulfilling what they imagined as the ideal trip.”
Krug said every Paradise Found guest wants a trip that’s slightly different. He knows he’s succeeded when he see his customers relax into enjoyment.
“And for those that don’t, well, they are shoved overboard and never tell anyone else,” he quipped.
Krug said the sailing charter business has “perfect reviews” on Trip Advisor (see above for explanation). The captain and crew have been sailing Kit in the Keys since 2002 and know the waters well. The catamaran is in great shape, gives an excellent ride with no heeling and is still quite fast. And the crew is jolly: Kathy “the Admiral” is consistently praised for her culinary skills; and Krug is known for his motto: “Daily floggings will continue until the crew’s (and charter guests’) morale improves.”
Paradise Found Sailing is a member of the Marathon Chamber of Commerce and VVAW, and helps to moderate the Boot Key Harbor Cruisers Net and organize the books in the city marina library.
