Upper Keys congregations gathered for the annual Good Friday Cross Walk on the morning of Friday, April 15. Beginning at roughly 9:30 a.m. at Berkshire Hathaway, the group of about 20 residents trekked south over Snake Creek Bridge en route to Matecumbe Methodist Church in Islamorada. Before the walk began, Spirit and Truth Ministries Pastor Marlin Simon gave a prayer. This is Simon’s 36th cross walk. Two wooden crosses, one weighing 57 pounds and the other 25 pounds, were carried by various individuals during the walk.
