Key West High School students christen the cheering section in the high school’s newly renovated Backyard that will host home games this season and next.

The Key West High School Conchs faced a tough competitor for a pre-season game on Aug. 20 against Miami’s Monsignor Pace High School.

The visiting team defeated the Conchs 53-24 in the newly renovated Backyard of Key West High School. The Conchs will play all home games this season and next at the Backyard while the new, $15 million Tommy Roberts Memorial Stadium is under construction.
