U.S. 1 took a temporary break from its hectic pace on Nov. 11 to honor the men and women who have served our country in all branches of the military. Organized by the American Legion, Marathon’s annual Veterans’ Day Parade saw first responders lead the way for service members of all branches. Complete with music, military and vintage vehicles, and plenty of flags, it was a fitting token of gratitude for all those who have put their lives on the line for our freedom.
