ISLAMORADA LIBRARY REDUCES HOURS DUE TO STAFFING SHORTAGE

The Monroe County Public Library Islamorada branch will temporarily reduce the operating hours four nights a week to close at 5 p.m. instead of 6 p.m. due to a staffing shortage. Tuesdays will continue to have an 8 p.m. closure time.

The temporary change should last about a month while new employees are hired and trained.

The revised hours are now:

Sunday: Closed.

Monday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tuesday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Wednesday through Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.Monroe County job openings are listed at www.monroecounty-fl.gov/jobs. Certain servicemembers and veterans, and the spouses and family members of the servicemembers and veterans, receive preference and priority in employment by the state and are encouraged to apply.
