Habitat for Humanity of the Upper Keys (HFHUK) will celebrate National Homeownership Month  on Tuesday, June 28 with an information session from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 88670 Overseas Highway, Tavernier.

Anyone is welcome to attend to hear about Habitat’s homebuyers’ program and tour an open house of its latest development, “Esslinger Heights.” The information session will include details on eligibility criteria, benefits of homeownership and how to apply for a home, along with the opportunity to see firsthand how attractive Habitat affordable housing can be.

A Habitat for Humanity loan officer will be onsite to meet with potential homeowners, answer any questions and pre-qualify applicants on the spot. Appointments are highly recommended.  Email amanda@habitatupperkeys.org to schedule an appointment.

“With two units available at our recently completed Esslinger Heights development and another nine units becoming available in about 18 months, we’re excited to spread the word about Habitat Upper Keys’ incredible homeownership program. This is a prime opportunity to finally own a home in the Florida Keys,” said Amanda Whalen, office and family services manager and qualified loan officer.
