For one night only — Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013— international pole fitness and salsa dance stars will present breathtaking performances at the Celebrity Gravity Pole Fitness fundraiser to benefit the Florida Keys SPCA. It will be held at La Te Da in Key West, doors open at 7:30; performances begin at 8:00.

Tickets are for sale at Gravity Pole Fitness, 3722 N. Roosevelt Blvd. during hours of operation, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Any remaining tickets will be available at the door at La Te Da.

In addition to the performance event at La Te Da, a series of workshops have been scheduled at Gravity Fitness with Key West pole fitness expert Kelly Goss and visiting artist/athletes Sergia Louise Anderson, Crystal Lai, Michula Nunez, Janis White, and Estee Zakar.

Money raised from the Celebrity Gravity Pole Fitness fundraiser will directly benefit the Florida Keys SPCA building fund. According to FKSPCA Executive Director Tammy Fox-Royer, the present building suffers from falling concrete, spalling and rat infestations; it floods in heavy rains and is beyond repair. “There are more than 50 dogs and 95 cats at the shelter on any one day. We also have rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and the occasional exotic animal. Whenever a tropical storm or hurricane is forecast, all the animals are evacuated into foster homes,” Fox-Royer said.
