Two Miami-Dade County men and one Broward County man were arrested on April 17 for reportedly shooting a handgun in north Key Largo.

The sheriff’s office responded to Card Sound Bridge at approximately 12:18 a.m. regarding shots fired. Approximately 36 fresh brass casings were found at the scene.

The suspect vehicle — a Honda sedan — was subsequently located and stopped on County Road 905. All three suspects, Luis Gerardo Jaramillo-Montoya, 23, of Pembroke Pines, William Raul Garcia, 20, of Miami, and Jonathan Garcia, 18, of Goulds, were detained.

Each suspect admitted to discharging multiple rounds toward the mangroves and ocean. A 9mm handgun was located inside the vehicle. All were charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm in public.
