Upper Keys Rotarian Jill Miranda Baker was named Rotarian of the Year at the Club’s annual meeting on June 30. Outgoing president Joe Roth highlighted her hard work and dedicated service to the Rotary Club.

“Jill ensured we had informative speakers each week, stayed on top of many issues and took care of things before I thought of the need to be done,” Roth said.

Miranda Baker, a Rotarian for nearly 15 years, served the year as president-elect and is the club president as of July 1. A long-time resident of Plantation Key, she serves as the executive director of the Florida Keys History and Discovery Foundation, a not-for-profit which operates the Keys History & Discovery Center.

The Upper Keys Rotary, established in 1967, meets weekly at noon at Capt. Craig’s Restaurant, MM 90. More information is at keysrotary.com, on Facebook or from Miranda Baker at 305-304-0052.
