There’s no better time for Keys locals to go fishing, and the Stock Island Derby Virtual Fishing Tournament will award points and prizes in various categories while allowing for outdoor recreation and social distancing.
Sponsored by the The Perry Hotel and Stock Island Marina Village, the Stock Island Derby Virtual Fishing Tournament runs now through May 13.
In addition, all participants will save 10% on fuel purchases at the Stock Island Marina.

Enter the tournament by filling out the form at the link here. Then go fishing and take photos of each caught fish while someone in the photo holds up their hand in an OK signal 👌
to prove the photo was taken during the tournament days.
Submit photos of your catch on the official Stock Island Derby Facebook Event page.
Include the hashtag #StockIslandDerby.
Winners will be announced on May 13 and determined based on points earned as described below.

Flats Fishing:
2 points for every foot of fish (12 inches = 2 points)
“Slam” defined as Tarpon, Permit, Bonefish in one day — 3 points
No Weights
Reef/Wreck Fishing:
1 point for every legally sized snapper
1 point for every foot of fish that is not a snapper (12 inches = 1 points)
5 different types of fish in one day — 3 points
Family Grand Slam (ie Snapper- Mangrove, Mutton, Yellowtail) three fish in the same family
Blue Water & Beyond Fishing:
1 point for every foot of fish (12 inches = 1 point)
Offshore Grand Slam — 4 points

Debut GROUPER Season rules: No Grouper entries may be submitted prior to the May 1 season opening.
