Did you vote early in Monroe County? Did you deposit your vote-by-mail ballot in an official drop box? Do you want to know if your ballot has been counted?

Check its status online.

The Monroe County Supervisor of Elections website offers a link where Florida Keys voters can confirm that their ballot has been counted.

From the website’s home page, click on the link at the left that says, “My Registration Status.”

Enter your name as it appears on your voter registration and your date of birth. Your voter registration status as well as the status of your ballot will be displayed.

A ballot will not show up as “counted” until a day or so after it is received by the elections office, which empties drop boxes one or more times a day.

As of Thursday, Oct. 29, 58% of Florida Keys voters already had cast ballots, according to Supervisor of Elections Joyce Griffin, who reported 12,920 early votes and 20,568 vote-by-mail ballots.

Early voting ends at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31.
