CHI OPENS NEW KEY WEST HEALTH CENTER

Live music from the Key West Junkanoos, food, drinks and celebration rounded out the long-awaited ribbon-cutting on Dec. 9 that officially opened the new CHI Key West Health Center on Fort Street.

City Manager Patti McLauchlin, City Commissioners Clayton Lopez and Greg Davila, Mayor Teri Johnston, Police Chief Sean Brandenburg and County Commissioner Michelle Coldiron took part in the festivities. Father John Baker of The Basilica of St. Mary offered a blessing of health and happiness for the community.

“This is a community health center for all of Key West,” said Colonel Brodes Hartley, longtime CEO of CHI. “It doesn’t matter whether people have insurance, or not; whether they have money or not, anyone seeking quality health care in Key West, they will be served.”

The new health center offers primary care, ob/gyn care and behavioral health care.
