Following an impressive second-place showing at the 12th annual Somerset Scuffle on Jan. 6 and 7, the Key West boys wrestling team returned home to compete in their regional dual meet against Mater Lakes and Somerset at the KWHS gym on Jan. 12. KWHS came in third, Somerset second, and Mater Lakes first for their region. However, the boys have the opportunity to place higher up at their individual regional meet in February.

After a pair of third-place finishes from Sheyla Figuiera and Ailee Briggs at the Lady Bear Invitational at Palmetto Ridge High School, the same duo earned top honors in their divisions at the Rumble at the Ridge hosted by Seminole Ridge High School. Lola Jaime and Natalie Arguello earned second-place honors in their respective divisions as well.
