Monroe County Schools are hosting Kindergarten Kickoff events this week for families of incoming kindergartners. CONTRIBUTED

Monroe County School District’s elementary and PreK–8 schools are hosting their annual Kindergarten Kick-off events designed to help incoming students and their families feel right at home. These events will be offered during morning and evening hours.

Your child’s future elementary school will welcome families on campus, giving students the chance to:

  • Visit real kindergarten classrooms
  • Meet caring teachers and staff
  • Pick up registration packets and important information
  • Get your Play Your Way into Kindergarten readiness game

To help families prepare for the transition to kindergarten, the school district has posted helpful resources and links on its website at keysschools.com. These tools will help guide families through the registration process. The school district looks forward to starting this exciting journey with our families.

Why is MCSD the best choice?

Monroe County School District offers safe, nurturing schools, where every child is known, valued and supported.

Students benefit from strong academics, early literacy foundations and hands-on learning.

MCSD provides whole-child support, including counselors, social workers, nurses and intervention teams.

Every school offers enrichment opportunities — arts, music, STEM, physical education and early exposure to career pathways.

Families are partners. Monroe County School District is a community-centered district where relationships matter.
