Old Island Restoration Foundation (OIRF) recently announced the dates and ticket availability for its 67th annual Key West Home Tours, offering visitors an opportunity to step inside some of Key West’s most distinctive private homes and gardens while supporting the preservation of the island’s architectural and cultural heritage.
This season’s home tours are supported by the Monroe County Tourist Development Council (TDC), with Mount Sinai Florida Keys serving as the community partner for the December tours.
Home tour guests can go beyond Key West’s public landmarks and experience historic homes that are ordinarily closed to the public. Guests can explore each featured property, all accompanied by knowledgeable docents, at their own pace and in any order during the tour hours.
The event is a fundraiser for OIRF, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting, preserving and celebrating Key West’s architecture, culture and intangible heritage. Founded in 1960, OIRF has played a role in preserving Key West’s historic Old Town, has cared for the Oldest House Museum since 1974, and provides preservation, education and cultural programming.
Every home tour ticket helps the organization continue its work to protect the places, stories and traditions that make Key West unique.
Tickets are valid for both tour days within the selected month. Each month features a different collection of private homes, while the Oldest House Museum and Tom Majors Garden is included throughout the season.
Each tour date includes featured private homes throughout Key West, plus the Oldest House Museum, 322 Duval St.
Ticket prices are $55 for non-members, $45 for members; a $180 package is available for tours in all four months.
