What do you enjoy about playing football? I love the companionship all the guys on the team share. We work hard for each other and with each other. I am happy I’ve played football, because I’ve gotten a family out of it.
How long have you been playing on the team? I had previously played football, but I had to come out and play one last time as a senior. This is only my second year playing football, but hopefully it doesn’t end here.
Describe one of your best moments in athletics. After weeks of practice, full of putting all our teams hard work in and several difficult games, we scored our first touchdown. Even though it wasn’t me who literally scored those points, it was one of my best moments. We scored that touchdown as a family.
Coach Childress says … “We’re getting better and better every week!” Our team has obviously been having a tough season, and it is easy to get down about the scores. When Coach yells this out to us at practice every week, it gives us all that little encouragement we need. It pushes me to work harder, because I want to be better.
