A 17-year-old Plantation male died on Sept. 13 following a dive on a hookah rig on the oceanside off Grassy Key in the Middle Florida Keys.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said Cameron Isaiah Queen was reportedly swimming back to the boat at approximately 1:30 p.m. when he went underwater. CPR began and the U.S. Coast Guard as well as the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded.

Queen was taken to Fishermen’s Hospital in Marathon where he was pronounced dead.

Foul play is not believed to be a factor. Autopsy results are pending.
