Read! to Score Restaurant Gift Certificates

Key West Library Launches Sensational Adult Summer Reading Program

As if some of us need a reason to bury ourselves in a book…

We all know, the Florida Keys is not just a fabulous backdrop to digest the pages of your favorite authors, but also a playground for foodies!

For 2011 the library, (over on Fleming Street), has written their own summer campaign to shine the light on literature.

Adults can submit a weekly reading log listing all the books they read or listened to and enter their name for a chance to win local gift certificates to places such as the A&B Lobster House, Bad Boy Burrito, Half Shell Raw Bar, Key West Island Books, The Tropic Cinema and more!

What are you waiting for? Open up The Last Train to Paradise or Electric Baracuda and transport yourself!

Reading logs and suggested titles and authors from the novel destinations can be picked up now! Weekly drawings will start on Saturday, July 9. For more information contact Circulation Librarian Kris Neihouse at (305) 292-3595.
