The Rotary Club of Key Largo held a successful evening of food, fellowship and community impact during the Rotary Club of Key Largo’s Cajun Nite at Doc’s Diner in Key Largo on April 17.

Supporters came together to enjoy a festive evening while helping raise funds for the Rotary Club’s ongoing community efforts. All proceeds from the event directly support the Rotary Club of Key Largo and the many ways the organization gives back locally through service, scholarships and community initiatives.

Guests were treated to a Cajun-inspired menu featuring seafood gumbo or chicken and sausage gumbo, along with a popular raw bar offering oysters served grilled or raw. The event combined great food with a great cause, creating a memorable evening for all who attended.

The club also extended special thanks to the dedicated members of the Rotary Club of Key Largo who worked behind the scenes to organize the event, as well as to Doc’s Diner for hosting and serving an outstanding meal. Additional thanks given to Ted Dreaver and Laura Dreaver of Key Largo Conch House, along with Don Horton, for their help preparing the evening’s delicious food.

“This event was a success thanks to everyone who helped make it happen,” said Michelle Pope, one of the Rotarians who helped organize the fundraiser. “I truly love being a part of this Rotary family, and giving back to the community.”
