Current county tax manager and candidate for Monroe County tax collector, Sam Steele, recently held a meet and greet with Upper Keys residents during a visit to Fin & Juice in Tavernier on Feb. 27. Steele is a Florida State University grad who was introduced to the Keys 10 years ago by his wife, Lauren. Before working with the county, Steele was a commercial real estate appraiser with Cushman & Wakefield. As tax manager, Steele is in direct communication with the tax collector and works closely with departments to assist in daily operations. Steele is pictured with residents, friends and family.
