Each year Key West guesthouses, businesses and private homes compete for cash prizes in the Fantasy Façade Competition. This year the Key West Chamber of Commerce has awarded $2,000 to be shared among these 2023 winners:
Grand Prize: Hank’s Hair of the Dog Saloon & Garbo’s Grill, 409 Caroline St. for “Dark Forest.”
Best Residence: Ramsingh household, 2812 Staples Ave. for “Thriller on Staples.”
Best Business Prize: Ocean Sotheby’s International Realty, 1075 Duval St. 15C for “Looking for that Unicorn.”
Façade viewers are invited to visit all 22 Fantasy Façade Competition locations around Key West and vote for their “Community Favorite” online through Oct. 29. Vote for your favorite facade at keysweekly.com/facade.
The top pick for “Community Favorite” will win a prize package provided by Key West Chamber of Commerce members, with treats including, but not limited to: a Hemingway Rum gift bundle; single-day passes for either RokIsland Fest, Mile 0 Fest or Key Western Fest; and gift certificates to area businesses such as Key Lime Bike Tours, Key West Express, Little Whitehouse Subs, Tavern N Town, Benihana, La Trattoria, Yellowfin Bar & Kitchen, Latitudes, Bistro 245, Ocean’s Edge Resort, Love In Bloom and more.
