On Sept. 29, more than 73 million viewers tuned into the first Presidential Debate between President Donald Trump and his challenger, former Vice President Joe Biden. The following morning, the words “sh*t show” and “national travesty” were used on live broadcasts to describe the events of the evening. Fox News anchor and debate moderator Chris Wallace was praised and ridiculed for his handling of the debate, which featured multiple interruptions and petty bickering between the candidates. The Keys Weekly posted a reader survey on our social media and digital platforms, asking Florida Keys locals who they felt the clear winner of the evening was — and with close to 400 responses, here are the results:
